چکیده
Abstract Introduction Common bile duct (CBD) stones are detected in approximately 10-15% of patients with gallstone disease. They can be formed the absence gallbladder or who underwent previous cholecystectomy. Laparoscopic common exploration has been documented since 1999, increasing evidence illustrating effectiveness transcystic approach. There is no review re-exploration CBD, due to retained stones, following laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) via this Four cases presented detailing need for initial intervention, and intra-operative findings. Method Review four 2020 Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Each re-do stone, Results case had successful stone clearance resolution symptoms. Conclusions With technology surgical skill, CBD LC emergency presentations should performed. This feasible safe. We recommend approach reduced morbidity high success rates extraction.

UNLABELLED Laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) has been found to be a safe, efficient and cost-effective treatment for choledocholithiasis. Following LCBDE, the clearance may be ascertained by a cholangiogram or choledochoscopy. The common bile duct (CBD) may be closed primarily with or without a stent in situ or may be drained by means of a T-tube or a biliary enteric anastomosis...

We report the case of a 53-year-old lady who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy and was found to have an accessory cystic duct close to the fundus. Careful dissection of the liver bed was done and the duct clipped preventing a bile leak. The presence of such ducts though rare should be identified during surgery to prevent potential complications.

Background: Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (LC) is hazardous in difficult cases due to distorted anatomy at callot’s triangle by acute or chronic cholecystitis. Laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy (LSC) is a feasible option in severe and complicated cholecystitis minimizing the rate of open conversion. Objectives: To assess the feasibility of LSC without cystic duct clipping thus avoiding the p...

BACKGROUND Cholecystectomy is made hazardous by distortion of the anatomy of Calot's triangle by acute or chronic inflammation. Laparoscopic subtotal cholecystectomy (LSTC) without cystic duct ligation is an alternative to conversion to open surgery in difficult cases. METHODS This prospective study included all cholecystectomies performed in a district general hospital upper gastrointestinal...

Since the 1992 National Institutes of Health Consensus Development Conference Statement on Gallstones and Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy the indications for laparoscopic operations on the gallbladder and biliary tree have not changed; they remain similar to the indications for open surgery with relative and absolute contraindications as noted below. As stated in the NIH report “a patient with sum...
